Brainiac Business

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 22, 2026. These terms are written in plain language on purpose. They describe how Brainiac Business (based at 7675 Prince Albert St, Vancouver, BC V5X 3Z3) works with website clients.

1. How the process works

Website projects follow four steps: (1) we build a free preview of your site's homepage; (2) you review it and request changes — one revision round is included; (3) once you approve the design, you pay the agreed price; (4) we build the full site, set up the domain and hosting, and launch it. There is no payment due before you approve the design.

2. Price and payment

Website builds are one-time payments in Canadian dollars: $399 CAD for our first three clients, then $499 CAD. 5% GST applies on top of the quoted price in British Columbia. We charge no monthly fees. Payment is due after you approve the design and before the full build begins, by a method we agree on (for example, card link or e-transfer).

3. What the price includes

A 5-page custom website built mobile-first, basic on-page SEO, one revision round, 30 days of free defect fixes after launch, and your first year of domain registration and hosting bundled in. Anything beyond the agreed scope — extra pages, copywriting, ongoing maintenance, advertising management — is quoted separately and only proceeds with your approval.

4. Revisions and timelines

One revision round is included so the design looks the way you want it. Additional rounds are quoted per job. Our target is about 7 days from your approval and receipt of your content, photos, and any access we need; this is a target, not a guarantee, and delays caused by waiting on you extend it.

5. Defects vs. changes

For 30 days after launch, if something we built breaks or does not work as agreed, we fix it free. Changes, new content, and redesign requests after launch are new work and quoted per job.

6. Domains and hosting

Your domain is always registered in your name. The first year of domain and hosting is bundled into the website price; from the second year onward, renewals (roughly $115–$170/year, depending on the provider) are paid by you directly to the provider. If you do not renew, your site can go offline — that is between you and the provider, and we are not responsible for a lapsed renewal.

7. Content you provide

You confirm you have the right to use the text, photos, and logos you give us, and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights. We are not responsible for verifying ownership of your content.

8. Ownership

Once the project is paid in full, the website design, files, and content we created for you are yours. Any reusable tools or code we keep for other projects (like a standard template we adapted for you) remain ours.

9. Limitation of liability

We do our best work and stand behind it, but we cannot be responsible for indirect losses — things like lost sales, lost profit, or a Google ranking change. If something goes wrong on our side, our liability is limited to what you paid us for the project at issue. Nothing here removes rights you have under Canadian consumer protection law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future projects. The version that applies to your project is the one in effect when you approve the design. Questions? Message us on WhatsApp at +1 672-866-0652 or email mhplaban@gmail.com.
